6 weeks!

Wow! The past month has flown by so fast! Carter continues to grow at a very rapid pace. We went to the doctor on Friday the 11th and he was 13 lbs 11 oz. He is now average for his height, in the 99th percentile for weight, and is off the charts for his head size. I think he got his daddy's head. Carter loves to be talked to. He has a big smile and coos a lot. He also has a pretty big set of lungs and is very good at communicating when he is not happy.

Thomas is still doing very well with the baby. Most of the time he does not even acknowledge Carter. On Thursday after we got home from the grocery store, Carter was screaming while I was trying to get the groceries in the house. I looked over and Thomas had his new train next to Carter's car seat playing. He was talking to Carter like they were playing together. It was really cute. Unfortunately, Carter just kept screaming regardless of Thomas' attempts. It was really sweet nonetheless.

We blessed Carter on September 6th. Mimi, Papa V, and Meagan were all able to come for the weekend. During the blessing, Carter was perfect. He did not cry, just looked up at everyone in the circle. It was a very special day. After church we had a big dinner and birthday cake (since it was also my birthday).
